Evaluate 2.1.1 – Data Driven Instruction, Analytics, Reporting Tools Quest

In looking at the data in this "hypothetical" LMS- it looks like there is a lot of information that an instructor could utilize for their online class.

Enrollment and Attendance is of course one of the first pieces of information an instructor would need to use in their class. The information shown in the quest shows limited information an instructor would need much more on specific students in the class not just an enrollment number.
The information about the student and whether or not they completed the orientation and what assessment they would take and payment was quite valuable.

Communication is such a critical key to success in any classroom even online learning. The communication log is an invaluable tool for teachers to have access to and to keep track.

Monitoring Course Progress With Observational Data & Analytics can be an important element to online learning if implemented and used. The chart in the quest showed how many hits a student completed on each page- that is an incredible piece of information to show if the students are really looking at what is online or not.

Students Monitoring Their Own Learning is another great piece of the online learning puzzle. Students should be able to look up their grades and feedback. Accountability is crucial for students to be successful in education.
